There is something special about a new notebook. Its blank pages do not ask for a brilliant conclusion. They simply ask for a beginning.

This blog starts with that spirit: a place to think out loud, record discoveries and give ideas a little more time.

Writing to understand

We often discover what we think only when we try to explain it. Writing turns a vague intuition into something we can examine, question and share.

You do not need all the answers to start a conversation.

A good question can be a better starting point than a rushed answer.

• Technology, with attention to choices and their effects.
• Design, as a way to make things clearer.
• Process, including experiments, doubts and small lessons.

The subjects may change. Curiosity is the thread that connects them.

One idea at a time

Rather than setting a rigid schedule, I prefer to write when there is something worth discussing. A short piece can still hold an idea that stays with you.
